SatoshiLabs, the maker of the Bitcoin hardware wallet Trezor, has announced a new user interface platform called Trezor Suite, which launched on July 14.
In a video announcement shared at the Bitcoin 2021 event, the SatoshiLabs team explained that the upcoming desktop app introduces a new layout for users to interact with Bitcoin protected by private keys stored on Trezor, as well as new technical features.
“It’s kind of like a new range from a technological point of view, but it also comes with a new design,” Matog Chuck, Chief Product Officer at SatoshiLabs, explained in the video ad.
Trezor Suite also introduces new features such as the Redeem with Fee (RBF) button, which allows users to exchange a copy of unconfirmed bitcoin transactions with versions that pay higher transaction fees and thus incentivize miners to confirm them. And through integration with SatoshiLabs’ Invity exchange, users can also buy, sell, exchange or spend bitcoin using the app.
It also integrates the anonymous web program Tor at the click of a button, and provides a “secret mode” that blocks sensitive information displayed on the screen.
The SatoshiLabs team has also noted that it plans to add more features soon, such as support for Bitcoin mixing CoinJoin and a mobile version.
Trezor will host a file Twitter Spaces Discussion With Unchained Capital and Braiins to discuss the ongoing Bitcoin Conference 2021.
