Bitcoin is promoted.
rootThe Bitcoin protocol upgrade that makes smart contracts more private and compact has been secured. As of now, more than 90 percent of all blocks to be mined in the current difficulty period have indicated upgrade support, which means that Bitcoin Core Versions 0.21.1 And the latest will start to apply the new rules in November of this year, and so will Alternative Taproot Activation Client.
Taproot is the first Bitcoin protocol upgrade to run since then Separate witness activated in 2017. First proposed by former Blockstream CTO Gregory Maxwell and developed by Bitcoin Core contributors including Pieter Wuille, Anthony Towns, Johnson Lau, Jonas Nick, Andrew Poelstra, Tim Ruffing, Rusty Russell and Maxwell himself, Taproot will make Bitcoin smart contract features More compact, potentially more private, and in some cases a little more flexible. As a soft fork, the upgrade is backwards compatible as long as the majority of miners enforce the new rules.
Taproot really consists of two big upgrades in one. The first is the introduction of Schnorr signatures. Many cryptographers consider the Schnorr signature scheme to be the best in the field, since its mathematical properties provide a strong level of validity, do not suffer from scalability and are relatively easy to verify. However, the most notable feature in the Bitcoin context is that Schnorr’s “linear mathematics” enables a new class of smart contracts, where modifications to the signature can be used to include different spending terms.
This tweaking of signatures is used for the second part of the upgrade, the part really called Taproot itself. Take advantage of coding tricks like Merkel treesTaproot allows users to cryptically combine several spending terms into a single output (simplified, into a single “address”). Money at this address can be spent in several ways, for example by different people depending on other conditions fulfilled.
This is already largely possible on Bitcoin, but Taproot allows these different people to collaborate to conduct a transaction spending money that is indistinguishable from normal (single user) transactions. This is more efficient because not all potential spending terms need to be disclosed when the money is spent (translation into lower fees), and it is more private because such transactions blend better with other transactions. (As a notable example, Lightning Channel closing transactions can be made to look like regular payments.)
Taproot تنشيط Activate
Activating promotions on the Bitcoin network in the past has been difficult at times. The Segregated Witness activation process, in particular, turned out to be a A little bit of a battlefield, where (some) miners refused to activate the upgrade, until (some) users presented them with a somewhat controversial ultimatum in the form of Soft fork user activation (UASF), defined in BIP148.
For a while, this controversy seemed to persist Discussion About Taproot activation. Some developers and users argued that similar UASF-style activation should be included in the activation mechanism from the start, while other developers and users objected to such a solution because they considered it too risky and/or aggressive.
Finally, a compromise was reached between the two main camps in the form of “Quick try(Although some UASF backers still launch their own client.) The Speedy Trial activation mechanism will give miners three months to indicate Taproot upgrade support. If miners indicate upgrade support in 90% of all blocks during one two-week difficulty period (1,815 or more of 2,016 blocks), Taproot will be activated in block 709632, which is estimated to be mined in November.
The 1,815 semaphore set from the 2-week difficulty period (the third difficulty period since the Speedy Trial signaling period began) have just been mined. This means that the Bitcoin ecosystem – users, miners, companies, projects – has about five months to prepare for the upgrade, by upgrading to compatible software, or perhaps by taking alternative security precautions.
Since Taproot is a Soft fork upgrade and miners have indicated they are willing to upgrade, software that has not been upgraded must remain compliant with the Taproot rules, though; This program that is not upgraded will not enforce or take advantage of these new rules.
