Welcome to my book update post where I share the books I recently finished + my honest thoughts and star ratings for them.
My reading goals for 2021
for the year 2021, I set my goal to read 3 books a week One fiction book, one non-fiction book, and one audiobook per week. I know this is a bold goal, but reading is something I love and it’s a way for me to learn, challenge my brain, get better as a writer and communicator, and feel refreshed and encouraged by inspiring stories.
I have some shelves full of books (Mostly I got it for free), so I decided to pick 52 books off the shelves to read this year (see My list of 52 books I plan to read in 2021 is here). I will also read other books I find/sent that interest me. Additionally, I plan to browse a lot of audiobooks (Get free mines from the Libyan app).
These are three books I recently finished…
Don’t Miss: Daring To Believe Life Is Better With The Holy Spirit
If you feel like something is missing in your spiritual journey, or if you’ve always struggled to question what you believe in the Holy Spirit, or if you’re tired of trying to gain power through life with your own strength, I think this book will do. It encourages and blesses you.
I appreciate Jenny’s honest words about how she struggles with what she writes in this book. As someone who – only in the last few years – has begun to truly understand the Holy Spirit and what it means to live life dependent on Him, I have had a great resonance with this book. I highly recommend that every Christian read this book and take it seriously… it may completely change your life!
Verdict: 4 stars
